So the last of the formula arrived…wow! I can’t believe how much there is now. These guys will be fed forever, and so will the little brothers and sisters that come after. I’m thinking of trying to give Wasabi a bottle so she’ll stop trying to nurse on Eli’s ears and neck.
Many thanks again to everyone who donated: Sara and Paisley the Cat from Hey Pais!, Katja, Kathleen, Sarah S., Steven, Leslie Kate, Patricia and Chris. Huge hugs and love to you.
Right now I’m super-frustrated with the clinic. When I sent Pickle in to be tube fed, I sent a little cooler with a can of KMR, the tube of steroid cream, spare bottles and nipples and the tube. When Eli brought the surviving kittens home, he didn’t pick it up and when I went to pick up the remains and carrier, they didn’t send it home with me. So I called and asked about it, they said they didn’t know. Today I had to go get rat food (yup, we have rats too…and hamsters, birds and fish…) so I stopped by. No one seems to be able to find it.
This is irritating to me not only because I’d like to have my cooler, but I need that cream now that it seems like Sweet Pea is trying to suck on Melon. I explained this and the reply was pretty much “oh well. Sorry. We’ll ask the girl who was helping you Monday when she comes in tomorrow. Did you want to buy some more?” No I do not want to buy another $25 tube of cream when I had over half of one in the cooler that I left less than a week ago. If they tell me tomorrow that there’s nothing they can do, I’m going to pitch a fit.
